Just finished reading about the Somerville Porchfest on Boston.com and thought, what a wonderful idea. Imagine the pulling together of an entire village as residents strolled through the village listening to an eclectic variety of music together. Opportunities would abound for creating new and strengthening old friendships as we all shared in each others musical tastes.
In Somerville, the Arts Council has taken the lead in pulling this together. This is their second year of doing this and they have 85 different musical acts signed up to perform pro-bono across the city.
Any thoughts? Ideas? Interest? And, most importantly, anyone interested in volunteering to take the lead in pulling this together for Dennis?
