2007 to 2008 Housing Data Comparison

Final sales information is available for housing sales in Dennis for Calendar Year 2008, and as you may have guessed, it is not a pretty picture.  Total sales were down by 15%, with a decrease in total sales value of 24%.  The average sales price was down 10%.

Sales numbers were down in all areas except for homes valued at over $1,000,000 or under $250,000.  The only sector to see an increase in value, albeit slight, was for the homes valued between $250,000 and $499,999 where there was a slight 1% increase in average home sales price.  However, this is probably more reflective of houses originally priced above $500,000 falling into this category.  The following charts illustrate the month by month changes.
