Take a Peek at MESH Norway, Oslo’s First Coworking Space – Core77

An interesting idea whose time has come, or is that returned? Back in the 1980’s, while I was on the Newmarket Community Development Corporation Board, we acquired an old mill building sitting on the edge of the Lamprey River (right over the dam in town). We renovated the building with Community Development Block Grants and essentially rented out desk space to start-up entrepreneurs. The CDC’s office was moved into the building to provide a receptionist.

It was one of the first buildings “wired” for network computer capabilities. Every work station had a two phone connections one for voice and one for data (that’s all there was at the time).

Maybe a co-working facility in Dennis would make the area attractive to a younger generation of residents?
